I've been asked by a number of my friends and colleagues to write a blog. Like I have time for that! I've never blogged before. Although, I've thought of doing one. I thought I could do one and call it "the frog blog" just in case someone might actually come up with an idea for those annoying coqui frogs.
So, well, here I am seriously contemplating starting a blog and I am being serenaded by the "soothing" sounds of the lovely coqui frogs just outside my window. Actually, when there are a number of them in the distance, they are rather symphonic sounding, sort of like a "rainforest sound" much like the crickets, or singing birds...so I guess this actually is going to be a "frog blog". Let me just say that I am absolutely amazed that nobody has come up with some sort of remedy for these little critters yet. I can't believe that somebody's science project hasn't figured out some ultra-high frequency that will keep these sex-crazed off of my property. (Only the males make that high-pitched sound, it's supposed to attract the females...)
Actually I don't care if they're on my property. Or how many of them there are. I just wish they would shut up. Seriously, just give it a rest. As soon as the sun goes down, there they go..."coqui!.. coqui!...coqui!" non-stop. I can't talk on the telephone at night outdoors, nobody can hear me. My boyfriend refers to me as "coqui girl" and he calls them my "little friends" and says they are serenading me. I say they are torturing me.
When I bought this property five years ago, there wasn't a single coqui frog on it. Not one. And then I heard them coming. They began moving in from the north. I tried to fend them off, but my neighbors were too busy watching television to help me out, and before I knew it, they had multiplied into the thousands and moved into every tree on my property. They are everywhere. Luckily, my geese, chickens and cats keep the population down somewhat. But something else has to happen.
What about a laser that will make them be quiet? Or maybe somebody out there has some brilliant idea.
Okay, that's it, I guess. I've written my first blog. The frog blog. Hope to hear from a brilliant science student soon!

"The Spiritual Guide for the Really Busy Person" is most similar to "The Secret", only it will fit in your purse and is easy to read because of the large print. It makes a handy reference guide if you're looking for something to motivate and inspire you during the day.
"I thought it should have already been featured on Oprah, Dr. Phil or the New York Times Bestseller list, and I was thinking of calling it 'The Spiritual Guide for Dummies' but then I decided to just call it 'The Spiritual Guide for the Really Busy Person' because I just didn't have time for such nonsense."
So think about this: What if each day, for the rest of your life, was the best day possible for you? Can you imagine feeling empowered to live up to your full potential, discovering amazing things about yourself and tapping into your hidden resources and creative expression? Discover the true natural healing that comes from spiritual well-being. This, and more, can become a living, breathing reality for you, once you read this book. And watch "The Secret." Truly, money well spent.

"I've been an artist my entire life. One of my earliest masterpieces was at age four and involved covering the walls and ceilings of our Hollywood apartment with art while Mom was working. I remember thinking how thrilled she would be when she came home and saw the amazing drawings: cartoon people frolicking through a fantasy forest with birds holding umbrellas. I taught my brother how to draw that day, and explained that 'the bigger the head, the smaller the body, the funnier the cartoon.'
Today, as a Big Island artist in Hawaii, I consider art to be one of the highest forms of creative expression. My personal favorite creation ever: Calligraphy for a Hawaiian chant for Keali'i Reichel. He told me he wanted my 'mana'on that paper! I consider that to be an enormous compliment. So please take your time when viewing my site so that you may fully enjoy the wide range of artworks available for your own personal enjoyment. And remember... these works are an extension of my childhood dreams."
